I am happy to announce my .com is back!!!

A very dear mentor of mine once gave me solid advice to use my first and last name.com for my website and create a personal brand back in 2010 2012 somewhere in there before influencer market it really taken off for many many years I have had this website until I made a very expensive mistake of not renewing my website in a timely matter and losing access to its domain I foolishly thought it would be OK nobody was interested in my.com.
I mean, it was my name after all, until I had a company reach out to me on LinkedIn, offering to sell me back my website domain for an exorbitant amount of money, as a small business owner had a heart attack over the last couple of years.
I played around with different domain names. The Amanda Hillsdale show, the sexual empowerment of Amandahillsdale.co. If you’ve been here with me, you’ve seen the changes, and every so often, I would get another message from a different company that had bought and sold my domain name. The exorbitant fee was a little less, still crazy to think somebody would buy my domain and attempt to sell it back to me. It feels illegal and wrong, immoral.
Anywho, early in July, I received an email from GoDaddy stating that my.com was now available on its site again. I stuck it in my cart, clicked the buy now button, and let me tell you, I have never been more excited than I am right now today as I type this blog post to have it back!
You would think something as simple as a website domain name, such as a silly thing to get so emotional about, and yet here we are, 2026 42 years old, sobbing like a baby that I finally have it back with my domain coming back to me. I feel like a Phoenix rising from the ashes in the metaphorical and quite literal burning down of every other version of my older websites, my old programming, my old content, and really focusing on bringing amandahillsdale.com back to the truest, most authentic voice of being me.
I will be starting from scratch: no contacts, no imported blog posts, (* I might rewrite a couple of the good ones though) no bringing programs over from older versions- everything from scratch, not to rebuild, but sit at the kitchen table and type, creating a beautiful blog. Post for women like me for this new era of life.
I figure I will use a 70/30 or 60/40 split in the blog posts I produce; some will be behind a paywall, given the nature of what they’re discussing, while others will be freely available for the world to view. This post will also work in tandem with my new podcast. I will be launching under my name as well, celebrating rebirth, the personal brand coming back to my kitchen table, where it all began so many years ago. I hope you enjoy, and with that, I will end this beautiful first blog post with my new sign-off.
Until next time, friends, wild women, sovereign witches, I will see you at the table
