Conversations at the Kitchen Table

Why I'm bringing my writing home.

Today I deleted my Medium account, which I started during COVID. And my Substack account I had started last year. I want to start by saying I have nothing personal or professional against these platforms; they have served a purpose when I loved them. To me, they feel like an old sweater that no longer fits, and it's time to donate them.

I desire to bring our conversations back home to the kitchen table, and what better place than on my own website domain.

Over on Threads, I've seen so many conversations about bringing back old-school style blogging to read instead of social media captions, and it kinda made my heart flutter. How crazy would it be to write or speak to Grammarly every day with a message without fear of grammar errors and let the message be exactly what it should be for the person who needs to hear it most?

Even further, what if I keep all of these thoughts and messages as conversations at the kitchen table, and then I feel that feeling in my belly when it's actually right and working from a place of alignment, not allegiance.

I took a big breath and exhaled and then went to each platform to lead them to fully commit to the space here with you to be present to allow the information to flow. This feels right.

I hope you pull your chair and coffee and sit with me for a while and join this discussion.

See you at The Table

-Amanda
